This is not about the murderers, the convicts
The Three time loser, the first time felon
or the skidbidder
This is not about the C.O.'s the wardens,
the commissary
The crips, the bloods, the kings
or how much time you got on the phone homey
This not about the D.A. or legal aid
He is not giving praise or frustration to any of the crazy things in this world. He then speaks of the different faiths in the world and how they are all confusing in their own way.
You could be Muslim
and sing a song to raise the sun
you could be 5 percent
and understand that the mathematics
behind the language is kimetic is that... it is...
the original tongue of man my brother
you could be Christian and go from
being Catholic to being confused
to knowing the only way is to fear God
and you got nothing to lose
So that speaks of how religions are confusing yet we have to find our own path. Even my brother who is younger than me told me "Why do you believe in God?", this is the first question, the second was "Do you believe in God because what people tell you, or have you found God on your own?", his point was that you cant believe in God because someone told you, you have to find God on your own, which I believe Lemon is trying to demonstrate above.
but you got to believe in something
or else you will be a rhythmless void
This is spoken I believe about atheists or at least someone that lives their lives by not a moral code but something to objectify by. If you go around saying you believe in nothing then what is your purpose, cause then you could walk around and do anything by the way you wanted.
so here's a toast to my God and all of y'all
who play the yard
May your be born and may you find
that the Lord may not come when you call
but he's always on time.
So I will focus on the last line in philosophical terms. "Lord may not come when you call but he's always on time" well in my bible study we have learned that the relationship between you and God is not just take, take, take, its a give and a take relationship. We are always asking "why Lord, why me?". When we should be asking "Lord what can I do for you, to enact your word today?". Yet sooner or later even if we don't answer God, God will Still find you.
